Infrastructure automation software leader accelerates company performance with new customers, products, and awards

 

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – January 17, 2012 –Gale Technologies, a leading provider of infrastructure automation software solutions that power Infrastructure as a Service for labs, enterprises, and service providers, had a verysuccessful 2011 with releases of multiple new products, new customers, and growing awards recognition. Gale Technologies has innovated many sought-after features and provided them to their customers, giving them the benefit of being able to quickly and reliably build private and hybrid clouds out of their existing physical and virtual resources.

New Products

Gale Technologies launched the GaleForce Turnkey Cloud  in March 2011. The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud allows customers to convert their existing IT infrastructure into a private or hybrid cloud environment in just two steps and as little as two weeks.Additionally, Gale announced the availability of over sixteen new automation Resource Adapters (RAs) that will allow multiple new products from VMware, Citrix, IBM, NetApp, HP, Dell, and Cisco to be seamlessly integrated into a private cloud built using GaleForce software, the company’s flagship product. These adapters add to an already extensive library of over 150 resource adapters that manage and provision thousands of compute, network, security, and storage devices. Gale also announced a brand new product, Cloud Scheduler, that optimizes scheduling and deployment of virtual machines in dynamic virtual environments.

Customers

Accelerating its sales momentum, Gale Technologies has signed multiple new customers, effectively doubling its deployment of GaleForce Software in 2011.  Customer wins include new enterprise customers, a growing market segment for Gale, as well as growth within the government sector.  Gale Technologies also experienced expansion within our tradition technology vendor and service provider markets. 

Awards

As a sign of its growing position within the cloud, Gale Technologies was a winner of the 2011 Network Products Guide 2011 Hot Companies and Best Products Award in the Hot Companies category and was named a finalist in the SIIA CODiE Awards as best cloud infrastructure application,and a finalist in the TiE50 Awards for its technical innovation. Gale placed third as best private cloud vendor in CloudCamp’s Cloudy awards, at the 2011 SXSW Interactive festival.  Gale was spotlighted as one of the Top 6 Innovators at VMworld 2011 by Virtualization Review. In addition, Garima Thockchom, Gale’s vice president of marketing, was recognized as one of Silicon Valley’s 2011 Women of Influence by Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, and as a finalist in the Stevie Awards for Best Executive in a Computer Software company with up to 100 employees.

Upcoming Events, First Quarter 2012

To further build its 2012 momentum, Gale Technologies will be exhibiting at the Cloud Connect conference in booth 322, taking place February 13-16, 2012 in Santa Clara, CA. Additionally, Gale Technologies’ CTO, James Thomason, will be speaking at the track entitled Next Gen Service Providerat TMC IT Expo East 2012 on February 2, 2012.  Gale Technologies executives will also be present at Cisco Live, London, during January 30-February 2, 2012 to support new product announcements.
